The Amazon Rainforest — Possessive Practice – Fill in the blanks with A=’s, B=’,C=ies

Today, we’re going on a virtual field trip to explore nature‘s biggest treasure — the Amazon Rainforest.

What is a rainforest?
A rainforest is Earth‘s warmest and wettest ecosystem, full of the world‘s tallest trees and nature‘s richest colours.
You can hear the parrots songs, the monkeys cries, and the frogs croaks echoing through the forest‘s canopy.

Where is the Amazon Rainforest?
The Amazon Rainforest is located in South America. It stretches across Brazil‘s, Peru‘s, and Colombia‘s lands — and even touches the countries’ shared borders. It’s the world‘s largest rainforest!

Who lives there?
For thousands of years, the forest has been the indigenous people home.
Each village has its own family‘s traditions, and every child learns the tribe‘s stories and the ancestors wisdom.

You can visit the Yanomami‘s or the Kayapo‘s communities to learn about the forest‘s balance.
Even the families boats are made from the forest‘s trees.

What can we find there?
There are jaguars tracks near the river‘s edge, toucans bright feathers in the morning‘s light, and monkeys playful games in the canopy‘s branches.

The rainforest also hides nature‘s medicine chest — Wasai‘s roots help the body‘s kidneys, Lapacho Tree‘s bark eases pain, and Ginseng‘s energy boosts the traveler‘s strength.

What about the Amazon River?
The Amazon River is the planet‘s mighty waterway.
It carries the continent‘s life through the rainforest‘s heart.
The river‘s fish — like the Arapaima‘s scales, the Piranha‘s teeth, and the Tambaqui‘s tail — show the water‘s power.

Living in harmony
The indigenous people live in nature‘s harmony.
They build the family‘s shelters from the forest‘s leaves and show the children‘s respect for the Earth‘s beauty.

Above them, the canopy‘s green roof shines in the afternoon‘s sun, where the insects wings and the birds songs fill the day‘s air.
