Goal: Learn to use these verbs in a variety of ways.

Jump, climb, fly, ride, carry, make, do, think

JUMP

  1. The boy is jumping over the ditch.
  2. My dog jumps on me when I come home.
  3. She is jumping with joy because she got a new present.
  4. Don’t jump into the swimming pool without looking.
  5. The rabbit can jump very high

CLIMB

  1. The girl is climbing a tall tree.
  2. We climb the stairs every morning.
  3. The cat climbed onto the roof.
  4. They are climbing a mountain this weekend.
  5. Be careful when you climb the ladder.

FLY

  1. Birds fly in the sky every day.
  2. We are flying to Canada tomorrow.
  3. The kite is flying high in the wind.
  4. Time flies when I play with my friends.
  5. The bee flies from flower to flower.

RIDE

1. She rides her bicycle to school.
2. We are riding the bus downtown.
3. He likes to ride a horse on the farm.
4. They rode the roller coaster three times.
5. Can you ride a scooter?

CARRY

  1. The boy is carrying a heavy box.
  2. Please carry your schoolbag.
  3. The mother carries her baby in her arms.
  4. Ants can carry things bigger than themselves.

MAKE

  2. We are making a birthday card.

DO

THINK
