Customer: I would like to return this jacket.
Saleswoman: Anything wrong with it?
C: No, there’s nothing wrong with it. It just doesn’t fit; it’s not my size. it’s too small.
SW: No problem. Do you have the receipt with you?
C: As a matter of fact, I do. Here you are.
SW: This was purchased 3 weeks ago. I’m sorry, our store return policy says all returns must be done within 14 days.
C: That’s too bad! I don’t know what to do with it.
SC: Since you’re a regular customer, We’ll accept the return, but I’m not able to refund you in cash. You can exchange it for a larger size or I can give you a store credit.
C: What’s a store credit?
SW: We’ll give you a gift card for the value of the jacket. You’ll have to use it here to buy something else within 6 months.
C: Well, that’s better than no refund at all. I’ll take the store credit.
SW: OK. I’ll need a minute to prepare the gift card for you.
C: Thank you.
