Definition: a round fruit that grows on a tree. It can be red or green.

Examples:
I ate an apple for breakfast.
We picked apples from the trees.
She made an apple pie for dessert.
His little daughter is the apple of his eye. → the apple of someone’s eye = a deeply loved person.
