Noun Definition: something you say you will surely do.
Verb Definition: to say that you will do something surely.

Examples:
She made a promise to her parents that she will visit every two months.
Please keep your promise that you will do your homework.
My dad promised that we would go to the beach.
I promise to help you with your homework.
