Noun Definition: something that said about someone or something, but they do not know if it is true.
Verb Definition: to report or spread something as unconfirmed information.

Examples:
Someone started a rumor about the new student saying that he’s very rich.
Many rumors spread quickly around the school.
The actor is rumored to be appearing in the new movie.
