Definition: the time when the sky is still a little light, but the sun is below the horizon. Or the final, declining, or transitional stage of a period, career, institution, or life.

Examples:
We watched the mountains at twilight.
Some animals become active at twilight.
He wrote his greatest book in the twilight of his career.
